Serruria is a new colourway inspired by the flowers of the 'blushiing bride' plants, indigenous to the valleys of the Cape Mountains (wild populations are increasingly under threat due to mountain fires which do not permit the plants to grow to set seed).
The colours of these delicate flowers and can vary from ivory to candy pink to warm, shell like tones. I have opted for the latter for this interpretation - it is one of the colours i used in the interpretation of the Paintbrush Tank. The colourway combines shades of warm salmon with shell pinks a hint of pale terracotta; rounded off with a smattering of delicate speckles.
