Acqua Alta

This shade of tealy turquoise has haunted me - there is a particular colour found only in the canals of Venice, when the light hits it just so - that is unforgettable (only a close second to the unforgettable expression of an airline attendant when the South African traveller ahead of me explained that his luggage had disembarked the vaporetto unexpectedly and thus was causing an axqua alto of a different kind in the Venice airport).

Strictly speaking, Acqua Alto is the excessive high tides that occur at times in the Adriatic; but has in the past years caused severe concern for the environmental sensitivity of the Venice canals.

I recently used this colourway as the main colour for my Tesselated (still in progress) - but I promised yall that it would be in the shop, and here it is!
