Sand Cherry

Like almond trees, Sand Cherries (Prunus) are some of the first flowering trees here in the South. As children we would jump around in the petal storm froth, and later - in summer, search out those rare black cherries that would form; tucked away against the purple bronze leaves. Sand Cherry combines shades of purple , burgundy and olive gold in a gentle variegated colour.
