Isfahan Dusk is a moody, medium-dark variegated colourway. It combines shades of steely teal, smokey turquoise, steely blue, pale rust and hints of rose. I thought of this colour originally as a paring with Isfahan, but it will pair well with many colours currently available in the shop.
I originally developed this range of new colours for another project involving a local yarn shop during the lockdown period. Whilst I don't believe in escaping the many necessary debates currently taking place world-wide, I did spend an inordinate amount checking out a range of wonderful landscapes online when we were not allowed out of the house here in South Africa during lock-down. Isfahan was inspired by the tiling and architecture of the beautiful Imam (Shah) mosque in the Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan - do look up this extraordinary place!
