Chefchauoen is a variegated, speckled light pastel colourway. It has a hint of the palest aqua as a base which forms the canvas for a range of pale pastel tones. It was originally designed to pair with Chafchauoen Days, but has many other possibilities for colour play.
For a lovely quartet of related colours - consider Isfahan Dusk, Chefchauoen Days, Shipwrecked and Chefchauoen Wash.
I originally developed this range of new colours for project involving a local yarn shop during the lockdown period. Whilst I don't believe in escaping the many necessary debates currently taking place world-wide, I did spend an inordinate amount checking out a range of wonderful landscapes online when we were not allowed out of the house here in South Africa during lock-down. Chefchauoen Days was inspired by beautiful hues of the stunning town of Chefchauoen – look it up for some priceless colour inspiration. Chafchauoen Wash echoes my fascination with the beautiful pots of geraniums blooming against the limewashed and sunbleached painted walls of this picturesque town.
