I was standing under a friend's Acacia thorn trees the other day, admiring the strange reddish green catkins that one of the trees had produced. Most catkins are a particular shade of greenish yellow - chartreuse but with a dash of red somewhere in the mix...and it is a colour that I love! From powdery yellow pussywillow catkins, to the scuzzy green of poplar trees...they're all refreshing and combine beautifully with summery pastels like West Coast Fog and Peachified....or some of the other floral colourways.
